Great Basin Desert
The Great Basin Desert is located in the western United States and is bordered by the Sierra Nevada on the west and the Rocky Mountains on the east and extends well into the Sonoran desert and Mojave Desert.
The Great Basin Desert is 200,000 square mile with flat open highlands covering most of Nevada and parts of Utah, as well as California, Idaho, Oregon and Wyoming. The great Basin is a series of continuous watersheds, connected by the Sacramento, San Joaquin, and klamath rivers.
