Accipitrids are found world wide. They live on every continent except Antarctica, and on most oceanic islands. They inhabit every major habitat type except the northernmost arctic tundra and the driest deserts.

Primary Diet:
carnivore (eats terrestrial vertebrates, piscivore , eats eggs, scavenger , insectivore , molluscivore , eats non-insect arthropods).
