Habitat
Hawksbill turtles are most commonly found in hard-bottomed and reef habitats containing sponges. They also reside in shoals, lagoons of oceanic islands, and continental shelves.

Food Habits
Hawksbill turtles feed primarily on sponges. They show a large level of feeding selectivity in the way that they only eat certain species of sponges, some of which are toxic to other animals.
