Food chains and food webs illustrate how different specie get energy. Small carnivores like skunks, birds, owls, weasels, and fox in coniferous forests feed on plant eaters like birds, insects, small rodents and squirrels to get their energy; some will eat berries and plants too. Find information on the secondary carnivores in the deciduous forests.
